Andrew's Atlantic Challenge

At noon on the 5th December 2011 Andrew set off to race solo across the Atlantic Ocean, in a bid to raise £100,000 for disadvantaged children and after 2 years of training, preparation and fund raising.

40 days 9 hours and 44 minutes later and crossed the finish line, breaking the previous record for the Atlantic solo crossing, set in 2004, by well over 2 days, and taking 2nd place in the race behind the leaders by only 26 minutes.
